After a bench trial, defendant-appellant Thomas Eastman (Eastman) was found guilty of abuse of a family or household member in violation of Hawai'i Revised Statutes (HRS) § 709-906(1) (Supp. 1994).*fn1 On appeal, Eastman contends that the State of Hawai'i (prosecution) presented insufficient evidence to convict him of the offense. For the reasons set forth below, we affirm the family court's judgment.
