Edmunds contends that the circuit court applied an erroneous legal standard for whether a new trial is warranted because of newly discovered evidence. Alternatively, Edmunds argues she is entitled to a new trial in the interest of justice because the real controversy was not fully tried. We conclude that the record demonstrates that Edmunds is entitled to a new trial on the basis of newly discovered evidence, and therefore reverse.
